Event details Below:

We will be taking part in a sponsored walk on Friday 22nd June at 2pm and would like to invite all parents/carers and family members to join us for this event.

The walk will be part of a bigger project running during Healthy eating Week and the purpose is to raise funds for new PE equipment for the children alongside supporting Team GB. On Friday 15th June we will have a visit from Team GB Commonwealth and Olympic Athlete Lynn Hutchinson. Lynn will be holding an assembly for the children first thing and will then run workshops throughout the day for every class. The purpose of the sponsorship form is for your child to be sponsored for two activities – completing the athlete’s workshop and taking part in the walk on 22nd June.

The walk is a whole school event. Nursery and Reception will walk laps in the playground whilst Year 1 to Year 6 will take part in a longer walk to Springfield Park.

Sponsorship forms went home with the children on Tuesday. Whilst we are mindful of the fact that children will be asking for money from family, friends and neighbours and that for many it is a difficult time, we hope that you can encourage your child as even the smallest amount of money raised would be greatly appreciated and depending on how much is raised and how many children raise money we can get up to 75% back to buy PE equipment.

Children taking part can also win prizes, please have a look inside the sponsor form for more information.

Your child will need to bring their sponsorship form and money and bring to school by Thursday 21st June. If you require another form please speak to Michelle.

We are very much looking forward to getting involved in this event and hope that you will be able to join us for the walk on the day. We will send reminder information closer to the time, but in the meantime, please mark Friday 22nd June at 2pm on your calendars.
