British Science week took place between 6-15 March 2020, the theme for this year was ‘Our diverse planet’.  To join in with the celebration Oldhill Community Primary school held a Science day on Wednesday 11th March 2020 entitled ‘Our diverse planet – The Ocean’. The day began with a whole school interactive assembly with Jamie Buchanan-Dunlop a coral explorer from Encounter edu. Across the school each year group focused on a different area of the ocean.

  • Year 1: Ocean layers
  • Year 2: Ocean plastic
  • Year 3: Coral oceans
  • Year 4: Our ocean planet
  • Year 5: Submarine STEM
  • Year 6: Analyzing acidity levels in liquids.

It was an action packed day crammed with rich scientific skills and knowledge. Please see some of the pictures of the day. #EncounterEdu #BritishScienceWeek
