It is still imperative at this time that we continue to give opportunities for children to learn whilst at home and maintain some consistency.

Learning at Home 

We are using ‘Google classroom’ in Year 1.

Each week, we will assign some tasks for the children to complete across the different .

Just follow the instructions for the task, once completed, you can leave a comment and upload photo or video depending on the activity. Once completed, the task will be checked and I will leave a comment on each assignment

Please click here to access google classroom. Use the individual log in details that you have been sent. Then start uploading 🙂 Click here for a step by step guide for help using google classroom.

You can also download the app on to the tablet with the login details sent for your child.

Other Learning Tools

We have also sent login details for ‘Purple Mash’, your child can access a variety of activities across the curriculum.

I would also like to encourage you to explore different free learning apps on a tablet daily.

We need to continue to reinforce phonics and reading whilst at home daily for 20 minutes, you can down load the following free apps:

Go Explore from CBeebies

There are also lots of free learning apps for maths and other areas of the curriculum which are available to down load. You can also find learning websites such as ‘topmarks’ which have lots of fun learning games to develop Numeracy and Literacy skills.
