Proudly Achieving Together

Welcome to Maple’s page

Dear Parents/Carers,

First, we would like to welcome all Year 4 students and parents/carers back to school.

We hope you and your child had a wonderful Summer! We have a full term of learning ahead of us and we are looking forward to forming trusting relationships with both pupils and parents. We hope to work together with you to make sure that everyone is trying their best to meet the standards expected.

Our topic for Autumn term will be related to Black history and the BLM movement.

In Science, the children will be learning Biology and physics. In Biology children will be learning about The Human Body and Healthy Eating.  In Physics, we will be learning about sound.

Oldhill has a real focus on improving the school’s attendance and punctuality. We therefore ask you to ensure that your child comes to school every day and on time.

Home readers are to be changed by the children independently. They will be given time in the morning to do this. Homework- is due in every Tuesday and will be posted on Google classroom every Friday.

PE: This Term 4A and 4P will have PE on Wednesdays starting from next week. Children will need to wear their PE kits from their home as stated in the letter sent home.

Home learning  Year 4 will be using google classroom to support you and your child with home learning. Activities will be set throughout each week of home learning for all subjects. You and your child can choose which activities you would like to do then upload a picture for me to see and give feedback on.
